Every change to idealog.works that a reader would notice, newest first, including new frameworks, blog posts, ventures and changes to the code. The /now page is about my work, and this page is about the site.

1. October 2026

   • 12 Oct The newsletter sign-up boxes are gone from the homepage, the blog posts and the canvases. The Research Rundown keeps its place among the ventures and in the Work section.
   • 12 Oct Sharing: blog posts and canvases now have a WhatsApp button that opens a chat with the title and link already typed in. Each canvas and the Now, Shelf, Talks, Blog, Changelog and Canvas pages have their own share card, and blog posts tell search engines their headline, date and author.
   • 7 Oct The card that appears when the homepage or another page without its own image is shared said twelve ventures. It now says twenty-five. Under the hood, satori moves to 0.35.1 and TypeScript to 6.0.3, and every post card renders exactly as before.
   • 7 Oct Three new canvases: Framework 16 The Administrative List Test, 17 The High-Frequency Check and 18 Source Before You Say It. Eighteen frameworks now.
   • 7 Oct Every page, every blog post and all fifteen canvases rewritten in plain prose. The em dashes, the "X, not Y" turns, the stacked fragments and the stock vocabulary are gone, and a check in scripts/check.mjs now fails the build if an em dash or a banned word reaches a published page.
   • 7 Oct New venture: Off the Roll, the analysis of the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls. Who Gave The Order and the two book companion sites, What Counts and Postheroic.World, added the same day, and A Lab (alab.cloud), the Class 8 revision app, as Growing, the Industry Conglomerates Database, Bihar Parichay, Experiments and Ummidvaar Dastaavez as Sketching, and Pika Woodcraft as Growing. Twenty-five ventures in all.
   • 7 Oct Inside ImpactMojo: Marginalia, Advisory Board Pro, The Real Middle (now a game, real-middle-india), Development Discourses and Dev Case Studies.
   • 7 Oct New blog post: How Off the Roll is built, on where its figures come from and what the lists cannot show.
   • 7 Oct /now updated for October, with Off the Roll, Democracy by Design, JanVayu, ImpactMojo, StoryWell and Phototales. The expired "no new retainers until July" line is gone.
   • 7 Oct ImpactMojo counts brought up to impactmojo.in: 100 courses (21 flagship and 79 foundational), 184 Reading Companions, a 335-source Dataverse. How India Lives is 211 maps, StoryWell 97 books and 40 audio stories, Phototales 523 photographs.
   • 7 Oct Astro 7.3.4 to 7.3.6, sharp 0.35.5, undici 8.11.2, @astrojs/sitemap 3.7.4, and two high npm audit advisories cleared (http-cache-semantics, source-map-js). The FCRA entry on the shelf no longer calls it a foreign exchange handbook.

2. August 2026

   • 13 Aug /now cleaned up: dropped the Union Budget bullet from Actively working (already in Reading), dropped the 3-month-old A2GF Bangalore bullet (now on /talks), rephrased the TV/smartphone paper from "under review at EPW" to "looking for the right venue to pitch".
   • 13 Aug /now Writing block: The Measurement Trap is now marked done and in production with Routledge; the co-authored TV/smartphone paper is done. PolicyGrounds essay references updated to recent pieces; the dated NEET op-eds bullet removed from Actively working. Blog reference updated to the July/August pieces (The two-hour archive, What the smartphone actually replaced).
   • 12 Aug ImpactMojo counts refreshed from impactmojo.in: 70 courses (19 flagship + 51 foundational), 34 Studios, 135 games, 163 Reading Companions, 22 Deep Dives, 490+ ImpactLex, 324-source Dataverse, 8 Data Explorers, 31 Long View visualisations, 16 Learning Rubrics, plain-language Law Guides, 13,000+ practitioner community.
   • 12 Aug On Rotation grid: reverted the 1×4 desktop layout that left large whitespace under shorter cards; back to a 2×2 grid that keeps heights balanced pairwise.
   • 12 Aug Badalte Khwaab Ideas Tested card question rewritten in the site's "Can…" format for consistency with the other experiment cards.
   • 11 Aug Three new canvases shipped: Framework 13 Aspiration Gap, 14 Rapid Civic Tech, 15 Curriculum-Construct Fit. Featured strip on /canvas surfaces them at the top.
   • 11 Aug Tech hygiene: 2 new npm audit advisories cleared (js-yaml, nanoid); Astro 7.1.6 → 7.2.0, undici 8.9.0 → 8.10.0.
   • 11 Aug /now bullets added for the Mathura edtech baseline fieldwork, the Bangalore DD study fieldwork with Bala and the Christ University workshop, and the Delhi launch of Badalte Khwaab. Rotation and shelf refreshed.
   • 10 Aug /now, /shelf, and On Rotation refreshed for the new month.
   • 9 Aug New blog post: The two-hour archive, on how Democracy by Design got built and what a protest archive has to refuse.
   • 8 Aug Featured in The Hindu: When protest becomes memory, a joint interview with Pallavi Nayak on archiving dissent. Added to Publications.
   • 8 Aug Two new ventures added: Democracy by Design (protest archive, co-founded with Pallavi Nayak) and littlek.in (Class 1 CBSE learn-and-play). Venture count 14 → 16.
   • 8 Aug Three new Ideas Tested cards: Democracy by Design, littlek.in, and Badalte Khwaab (survey of 6,092 rural women across 15 states).
   • 8 Aug Badalte Khwaab · Women’s Aspirations in a Changing India. The full report is out, led as Research Lead (Quantitative) with Development Intelligence Unit and Transform Rural India Foundation. Added under Peer-reviewed and academic.

3. July 2026

   • 7 Jul /now, /shelf, and On Rotation refreshed for the new month.
   • 7 Jul Tech maintenance: Astro 6 → 7.1.6, all 9 npm audit advisories cleared.
   • 7 Jul Framework 12 shipped: The Baseline Design Test.
   • 7 Jul Framework 11 shipped: The Handover Canvas.
   • 6 Jul New blog post: The observer files a report.
   • 4 Jul New blog post: What the smartphone actually replaced.

4. June 2026

   • 29 May Framework 08 shipped: The Knowledge Map (Rumsfeld).

6. April 2026

   • 10 Apr Frameworks 03 to 05 shipped: Evidence, Scale Decision, Kill Criteria.
   • 9 Apr Site launched. Frameworks 01 (Venture Readiness) and 02 (Measurement Checklist) shipped alongside the first eleven blog posts.
